CHOCOLATE RECIPES

Chocolate Winnie the Pooh Medallions

Requirements:
250g milk chocolate 100g white chocolate
1 small flat round mould
1 Winnie the Pooh mould Red chocolate foil
Red or gold tear ribbon

Method:
Gently melt the milk chocolate in the microwave or in a double boiler. Spoon the melted milk chocolate into the round mould, tap the mould to release air bubbles and place in the freezer for about five minutes to set. Cut your red foil into small squares big enough to cover your chocolate rounds. When the chocolates are set and released from the mould cover them with red foil. Take a paper towel and gently smooth them down for a nice, shiny finish. Melt your white chocolate very, very gently either in a double boiler or in the microwave. Remember that white chocolate is much more sensitive to heat than milk chocolate and so it burns more easily. The hotter it gets the thicker it gets, so if you see it getting thick remove it from the heat immediately and stir it rapidly to cool it down. Pour your melted white chocolate into the Winnie the Pooh moulds; tap the mould to release air bubbles and place in the freezer for about five minutes to set. When the white Winnie the Pooh chocolates are set and released from the mould pour a little melted chocolate onto the back of them and stick them onto the foiled medallions. (One Pooh per medallion). Cut the red or gold ribbon into half meter lengths and then tear them in half, lengthwise. Stick the two ends of the ribbon onto the back of the medallion so that the medallion can be worn around the neck. These Winnie the Pooh medallions make awesome party favours for children's parties.
