Chocolate Cake Collar


Requirements:
250g Milk chocolate
100g White chocolate
1 PVC Sheet
1 Round cake

Method:
Measure the height and circumference of your cake and cut the sheet of PVC to size. You should end up will a long broad band that fits exactly around the side of your whole cake. Gently melt your chocolate in the microwave or in a double boiler. Drop dots of white chocolate all over your PVC sheet and allow them to almost set. Then spread a layer of melted milk chocolate over them, covering the entire PVC sheet. Working quickly, lift the PVC sheet and wrap it (chocolate side facing the cake) around the cake. You can keep it in position with sellotape on the meeting edges of the PVC sheet. When the chocolate is cold to the touch, remove the sellotape and very gently peel the PVC sheet away from the chocolate collar. To finish, you can dust the top of your cake (quite heavily) with sifted cocoa powder. Chocolate collars make the most awesome decoration for any cake.
